There’s a reason San Antonio is called Military City, U.S.A. Some of the evidence is in the
numbers: Joint Base San Antonio employs more than 80,000 soldiers and civilian support staff,
and another 150,000 veterans call Bexar County home. But more than that, San Antonio has a
long history of supporting our armed forces, and building communities and connections that
help lift up the men and women who defend our country.

With that spirit of comradery in mind, two long-standing philanthropic organizations that
support local military members and their families are joining hands once again
to co-host a night of celebration and community building.

The Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) Auxiliary and the Spouses’ Club of the Fort Sam
Houston Area Charitable Organization are thrilled to announce the first ever Celebrating
Military Community Gala on March 29, 2019 at The Pearl Stable.
